OTHER LIVE SEMINARS AND WEBINARS
Prostate Cancer International also (on occasion) will run either one-off webinars or short series of webinars or webinars when funding is available.
Just as a couple of examples, in 2017 we implemented or helped to implement:
- A live, half-day seminar in Florida on advances in prostate imaging technology
- A short series of educational webinars on “Life on ADT“, conducted in concert with Richard Wasserburg, PhD, for patients and their spouses/partners and addressing how androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) for prostate cancer can be managed with optimal quality of life
Similarly, in 2018, we have implemented
- Regular monthly educational webinar/teleconferenced for the PCaI Active Surveillance Virtual Support Group
- Other webinars on topics such as understanding your diagnosis and dealing with the side effects of chemotherapy
